Enabling the script editor
This feature was introduced at codegarden 07 as a new feature in v3 but is was disabled in the release because of some issues with cross browser compatibility ( and maybe other bugs, …). I noticed that it works fine in firefox but don’t use it with ie.

Just locate the
<scriptDisableEditor>true</scriptDisableEditor>
In the config\umbracoSettings.config file and change it to false.
Hi, Tim,
Another nice tip. I love the script editor but have had too many issues with it to use in production, and that’s why it is disabled by default. The biggest problem I’ve had is when you copy-paste into it you get a lot of extra lines.
I haven’t tried it under Firefox, though, so your observations could be good news for the forthcoming umbraco 4 with its full support for Firefox (as you know, umbraco v3 is best used with IE).
cheers,
doug.
It’s in fact very complicated in this active life to listen news on TV, thus I only use world wide web for that purpose, and obtain the newest information.
